As a literary enthusiast, I was eager to immerse myself in the local culture, surrounded by lively bars and a good Syrian restaurant just steps away. The location is quite central, making it easy to explore local gems; Beco do Batman is a mere five-minute stroll, and the Mercado Municipal is only 15 minutes away. It's worth noting that the abundance of bars can lead to some evening noise, particularly since I visited just before Carnival. The room itself offered a standard level of comfort typical of a hostel, nothing too flashy but adequate for a traveler. The convenience of a supermarket nearby was a plus for quick snacks or essentials. While my experience was satisfactory, I would likely seek out alternative options on future visits, though I wouldn't completely rule out returning. It's a decent base for those looking to dive into the lively atmosphere of São Paulo while keeping the costs manageable.
